Original detail from the famous Fountain of the Bees at Via Veneto in Rome. Carved in Lunense marble by Gian Lorenzo Bernini, the famous fountain with the three bees, symbol of the Barberini family, was dismantled at the end of the nineteenth century. Then lost, it was sculpted again in travertine by Adolfo Apolloni in 1915.
