Reduction of the famous statue of Eracle di Vejo masterpiece of etruscan art in polychrome terracotta from the late 6th century b.C. Together with the Apollo and other sculptures adorned the temple of Veio in the locality of Portonaccio. Built at the end of the VI century b.C. the great Tuscan temple stood in the sanctuary dedicated to Minerva, one of the most venerated of Etruria. The statue is now preserved in the National Etruscan Museum of Villa Giulia in Rome.
