For many years the major national and foreign movie productions have been using our works to set up refined sets.

Director Roland Emmerich’s new series Those about to Die has just been released on the Prime streaming platform, inspired by the non-fiction book by author Daniel P Mannix.

The ten-episode series takes viewers into the complex and corrupt world of chariot racing and gladiatorial combat in ancient Rome.

The cast includes Oscar winner Sir Anthony Hopkins as Emperor Vespasian, Iwan Rheon as Tenax, Tom Hughes as Titus, Sara Martins as Cala, Jojo Macari as Domitian and Gabriella Pession and others.

The filming took a long time and was partly filmed in Cinecittà studios, not very far from our Workshop. We offered our contribution to the making of this extraordinary work with the supply of numerous statues, many busts, vases and craters, the large braziers and the imperial throne in the circus grandstand.
